Contemplations on Madonna by Jakob Beinhart, Wroclaw, dated 1499

Jakob Beinhart is largely considered the most oustanding sculptor and painter working in Wroclaw around 1500. Beinhart´s the stone Madonna in the church of St Mary Magdalene is an ordinary piece of work. Both in terms of form and iconography, this is a phenomenal statue.
